Your generosity has helped transform my school social work office into a welcoming and calming space where students can pause, feel safe, and learn healthy ways to manage their emotions. Students are using the new comfort and coping resources during individual and small-group sessions, as well as when they need a quiet moment to regroup during the school day. When students first saw the new materials, many were immediately curious and excited to explore the space. It has been especially meaningful to see students recognize that it is okay to take a break, identify what they are feeling, and choose a strategy that helps them return to learning feeling more calm and prepared.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding parts of this project has been watching students begin to take ownership of their emotional well-being. We are continuing to practice identifying emotions, recognizing personal triggers, and building a toolbox of coping strategies that students can use both at school and at home. The Peace Place gives us a hands-on way to make social-emotional learning feel comfortable, practical, and accessible. Because of your support, students have a special place where they can learn that their feelings matter and that they have positive tools they can use when things feel overwhelming.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping create a space where they can feel comforted, calm, supported, and empowered.
