With these new bilingual texts, we focus on building vocabulary, making connections between Spanish and English, and strengthening comprehension. Many of my students are bilingual or learning English, and having access to books in both languages allows them to understand content more deeply while feeling represented and empowered.\r\n\r\nThe new books have sparked so much excitement! One student, who had been hesitant to read aloud, now confidently shares pages from a favorite Spanish-English picture book during our reading circle. When I had asked them to create election platforms for student government, at least a dozen of them wrote \"free pads in the bathrooms\" in big letters on their posters, so you've clearly filled a noticeable need.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited about having pads available, they chattered happily over the box for several minutes. They love feeling like there's a safety net if they get their period unexpectedly or can't find enough pads at home to get them through the day, and they LOVE the disposable heating pads.
