Thanks to your generosity, my classroom now has the essentials we need to thrive. The snacks have been a lifesaver. Many of my students arrive at school without breakfast or grow hungry during the long day. Having healthy snacks available means they can refuel and refocus. I'll never forget one student who had trouble concentrating during math practice. After offering him a quick snack, he lit up and said, \"Now I can think better.\" That small moment showed me how meeting basic needs can open the door to learning.\r\n\r\nThe cleaning supplies have given my students pride in taking care of their classroom. They eagerly volunteer to wipe desks, tidy bookshelves, or sanitize shared materials. It's created a sense of responsibility and community, while also helping keep everyone healthy. Then there's the copy paper. It may seem ordinary, but in our classroom, it's gold. I use it every day for practice pages, assessments, and creative projects. Having enough paper has freed me to provide leveled reading passages and differentiated worksheets, meeting each student where they are.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies first arrived, my students' faces lit up. They were amazed to see a full snack basket and organized shelves. One whispered to me, \"We really have everything now.\" Another asked quietly if they could take a snack home, which reminded me that these essentials don't just impact learning in the classroom but they bring comfort and reassurance far beyond our walls. Right now, we are working on science experiments. Thanks to the paper and supplies you provided, I can ensure each group has the tools they need from start to finish. And as we continue into the year, I know the snacks will fuel focus during long lessons, and the cleaning supplies will help us maintain a safe, welcoming space.","fullyFundedDate":1742823947082,"projectUrl":"project/much-needed-essentials/9175154/","projectTitle":"Much Needed Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hackshaw","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8439544_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742034880207","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8439544"},{"teacherId":7064641,"projectId":8592813,"letterContent":"I am so grateful for your generosity in supporting our project, Incentives to Stimulate Our Senses! Your contributions have made a significant impact on my students, and I'm excited to share how these resources are making a difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWith the snacks, fidget toys, and water bottles you helped provide, my students have been able to stay more focused, engaged, and motivated throughout the day. One memorable moment was when a student who often struggles with concentration used a fidget toy during independent reading time. For the first time, he was able to stay on task without feeling overwhelmed. Moments like this show just how valuable these tools are!\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were beyond excited! Their faces lit up as they explored the different fidget toys, and I heard enthusiastic remarks like, \"This is just what I needed!\" and \"I can't believe we get to use these!\" The snacks have also been a game-changer—having a quick, nutritious option available has helped students stay energized and ready to learn, especially during those long afternoons. And the water bottles? They've been a classroom essential, keeping students hydrated and minimizing disruptions.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue using these resources to reinforce positive behaviors and encourage focus in the classroom. The fidget toys are now part of our calm-down corner, snacks are available as incentives and for students who need an energy boost, and the water bottles are helping instill healthy hydration habits.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has not only provided these essential items but has also created an environment where students feel supported and ready to succeed.
