My students will use donated books and leveled readers to discover and practice new reading skills. They will have the chance explore both fiction and non-fiction texts that are on their personal reading levels. My students will also get the opportunity to expand their vocabulary while reading these books that match their hobbies and interests. I know students will look forward to sitting on the Comfy Pillows and getting lost in a good book! Donations toward this project will definitely have a huge impact on my second grade students because these materials will provide the hands-on reading experiences needed for new skills to "click".
