They have completely changed the game in our middle school art room. Our students love them because they cover all the cool stuff they want to draw: people, cars, fantasy creatures, buildings, and super cute animals. These books show them exactly how to get started, breaking down tricky subjects into easy steps. \r\n\r\nThe best part is how much more independent the kids are now. These books let them pick whatever they're into; including sports cars or unicorns; and work on it at their own speed. This freedom means the students who catch on fast can keep zooming ahead, and those who need a little extra help have a reliable guide right there. I've seen a boost in confidence, and their sketchbooks are filling up fast with amazing stuff.","fullyFundedDate":1755521836250,"projectUrl":"project/drawing-book-bonanza/9539217/","projectTitle":"Drawing Book Bonanza!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ruiz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1035319_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1536708056651","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jamieruiz"},{"teacherId":9061463,"projectId":9799557,"letterContent":"I just wanted to thank you again for your generous contribution to our STEM classroom. Most of them had never worked with ceramics before, so seeing the materials laid out on the tables sparked a wave of curiosity and creativity. We decided to dive into a mug-making project, and over the course of several weeks, about 85 students shaped, carved, and glazed their very own clay mugs. It was incredible to watch them go from hesitant beginners to proud artists, each one pouring their personality into their piece.\r\n\r\nOne moment that really stuck with me was when a student held up their finished mug and said, \"I didn't know I could make something like this.\" That sense of pride and accomplishment rippled through the classroom. The glazing process was especially magical because students loved choosing colors and seeing how their mugs transformed after firing. It felt like opening presents when we unloaded the kiln.\r\n\r\nNow that the mugs are complete, we're exploring how pottery connects to different cultures and time periods. Students are researching traditional ceramic styles from around the world and sketching ideas for future projects. Some are even asking if we can make bowls or tiles next. This donation didn't just give us materials because it opened up a whole new world of possibility and creativity.","fullyFundedDate":1741113483585,"projectUrl":"project/keep-calm-clay-on-clay-tools/9119280/","projectTitle":"Keep Calm & Clay On!
