One of our first projects was designing and making personalized décor for our space. It made our classroom feel more welcoming, organized, and uniquely theirs.\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were full of excitement and curiosity. Many had never seen a Cricut before, so they were amazed at how it could turn simple designs into professional-looking decorations. They were eager to help choose colors, fonts, and themes.\r\nNext, we are planning to expand our decorations into learning-focused displays. Students will help create seasonal bulletin boards, subject area visuals (like reading and math walls), and motivational quote displays to encourage a positive learning environment. Students are learning how morphemes (prefixes, suffixes, and root words) can work together to change the meaning of a word.
