I was so tickled to learn this summer that my Donors Choose project was fully funded after only three months, in part thanks to the Bezos Family Foundation graciously matching donations! Unfortunately, my 18 cuties will not get to enjoy the items, but the new school year will bring a new crew! \r\n\r\nThe privacy shields will be so helpful during unit and standardized testing...they help cut down on distractions and prevent straying kindergarten eyes from roaming! The flexible seating cushions will be great at one of our learning stations; the station table is currently low to the ground and requires floor seating, these will make things a little more comfortable! And the best part...our new bookshelf! It fits perfectly underneath the smartboard at the front of the room and provides leveled shelves where I will feature books that complement our current units/seasons. Additionally, I can turn it around and utilize the magnetic whiteboard as a learning station. Students can use alphabet magnets to place letters in order or create words, or use dry erase markers to practice writing. For example, identifying objects on picture cards, sounding the word out and writing it on the whiteboard. All of these items will be put to use!\r\n\r\nI do believe in the thought that \"it takes a village\". Our children are a precious resource, they, and our public schools, are so worthy of the support of our community. You have gone above and beyond to make a difference in children's lives, and I am so grateful. Thank you does not seem enough. Please know how very much appreciated your donation is to me and to the students that will be blessed by it.","fullyFundedDate":1782933419202,"projectUrl":"project/in-sight-in-mind/10262772/","projectTitle":"In Sight, In Mind!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Phillips","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10167694"},{"teacherId":8935472,"projectId":9435402,"letterContent":"My speech and language students are loving their new materials.
