I have already used it print out multiplication charts as well as anchor charts for the students to place in their notebooks for double digit multiplication. We are in our unit of space and they love their phases of the moon anchor charts as well. When I showed the students how quick the printer works they were excited and all wanted me to keep printing anchor charts for them to put in their notebooks. I know it will continue to help them during math and science. Having quality anchor charts for them to look back at when working is beneficial. Even though I have anchor charts up in the room not every student feels comfortable getting up to walk over to them to look at them but having it in their notebooks takes that anxiety away. The printer is only black and white but the students like to color them to add a pop of color in their notebooks as well. \r\n\r\nI am grateful knowing that they have a good recourse in their notebooks to use at home when practicing and reviewing for tests. We received them the day before the beginning of the year State Test. A few of my students get extended time and needed to take the chargers with them to continue testing. on the best day the laptops have a 2 hour charge and the students remove them from the cart first thing in the morning and won't be able to return them until the end of the day. Since we are departmentalized they switch midday, sending the chargers to my partner teacher has helped her as well. I am not sure why but some of the laptops don't hold a charge as well as others and the chargers allow the students to complete their required programs without fear of the laptops dying in the middle.
