Your generosity has made a significant impact in my classroom, and I'm excited to share how these resources are transforming our learning experience.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment my students saw the new phonics materials, their excitement was contagious. They eagerly explored the tactile letter tiles, colorful phonics readers, and interactive games—each tool sparking curiosity and engagement. One memorable moment was when a student who had been struggling with letter-sound recognition used the textured letter cards for the first time. Watching the letters come to life through touch helped her make connections she hadn't before, and the joy on her face was priceless!\r\n\r\nWe are now incorporating these resources into daily literacy rotations. Students work in small groups, using the manipulatives to build words, practice decoding strategies, and strengthen their reading confidence. The multisensory approach has been especially beneficial for my English Language Learners, as it allows them to connect sounds, symbols, and meaning in a way that supports their unique learning needs.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are diving deeper into blending and segmenting words, using our new materials to reinforce these skills through engaging activities. The next step for my students is to apply their phonics knowledge to independent reading and writing tasks, fostering greater fluency and comprehension.\r\n\r\nNone of this would be possible without your kindness and belief in my students. Thank you for being a part of their literacy journey and for making a lasting difference in their education!","fullyFundedDate":1726877205652,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-literacy-for-ell-students-thro/8732261/","projectTitle":"Enhancing Literacy for ELL Students Through Multisensory Phonics Instruction","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7235347"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_126919","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":693,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":24,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":31,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":53,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":51.4,"schoolId":126919,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Castleview Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Castleview Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/orange-county-public-schools/castleview-elementary-school/126919"}
