These materials will allow my students to embrace creativity and imagination in the kindergarten classroom. By fostering both the academic and social-emotional aspects of learning, the children will grow to become well rounded, well-adjusted individuals. My students love coloring and cutting with scissors. I would like to provide them with more art experiences since they only visit the art room once a week. Because I have a community of diverse learners, I would like to provide each student with materials that are specific to their learning needs. For this reason, I have included whiteboards as well as sand trays for letter writing. Currently, my students spend their recess time playing tag. Including balls in their recess time will allow them to have a great deal of fun while fostering their hand-eye coordination. The manipulatives that I have requested will allow students to strengthen their fine motor skills, work collaboratively and gain practice in planning and executing a project.
