Students gasped, cheered, and immediately started to unbox them and see how to solve. Some had never touched one before, while others jumped at the chance to show off a few moves. Within minutes, the room was buzzing with collaboration, determination, and the joyful kind of frustration that only comes from a really good challenge.\r\n\r\nWe're using the cubes in so many meaningful ways—from daily brain breaks that help students refocus, to strategy challenges where they time themselves and track their progress. I've even built them into our gifted math block as a logic and problem-solving rotation. Watching students who used to hesitate with tough tasks suddenly light up and say, \"Wait—let me try again!\" has been one of the most rewarding moments of the year.\r\n\r\nOne student—who usually gives up quickly—has taken his cube home every day, determined to learn new algorithms. Another has started teaching classmates how to solve them because he was the only one in the class that knows how. These little puzzles have sparked a big shift in mindset: we're learning that mistakes aren't failures—they're just turns on the way to solving something great.\r\n\r\nOur next steps? We're gearing up for a student-led \"Rubik's Relay\" where teams will compete and coach one another through timed solves. And we're exploring how patterns and algorithms relate to coding and symmetry in math. The excitement is real, and it's all thanks to your support. I hope to enter some students in an upcoming competition!\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our minds, our growth, and our joy.
