Last, week I read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and use sequence of events to show students how it is important to recall the major events in a story. \r\nWhen my students saw the materials they smiled and wanted to touch and play with the items. I have the needed supplies to be great this year! The primary journals and pencils are being used for morning writing time. I am really excited to have them for writing. There is nothing that will slow my students down from learning all that they can. It was soothing to open the boxes and see the items that will assist my students. Thank you for the chime that will be used for our mindfulness breathing activities. This gives students time to unwind after coming back from lunch and recess time. It has truly made my day happier.","fullyFundedDate":1758202942399,"projectUrl":"project/basic-supplies-for-little-buccaneers/9477757/","projectTitle":"Basic Supplies for Little Buccaneers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. W.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3717909"},{"teacherId":9329844,"projectId":7942558,"letterContent":"Reading literature helps students in a variety of meaningful ways—both academically and personally. Students developed Reading and Comprehension Skills because the language includes rich vocabulary and natural dialogue. Students practice identifying themes, character motivations, and cause-and-effect relationships in a story. The situations in the story were relatable for my students, making it a good prompt for classroom conversations. Students were able to see things from multiple perspectives, especially as Lyndsay tries to understand Tanya's behavior. The book presents realistic emotional struggles like jealousy, insecurity, and the need for acceptance. Topics like how to treat others, what makes a good friend, and how to handle peer pressure were all relevant. Overall, students really enjoyed reading the book.","fullyFundedDate":1697725348375,"projectUrl":"project/for-the-love-of-reading/7942558/","projectTitle":"For the Love of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Osman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9329844"},{"teacherId":3717909,"projectId":9204756,"letterContent":"Thanks a bunch for helping me with this reading incentive project. My students were more excited than ever before to complete their online lessons. Most often my students grew tired of I-ready and other online lessons. These materials were added to the classroom treasure box and they got the opportunity to choose.
