We introduced it as our new \"STEM friend,\" and right away, students began exploring how to safely use it to cut straight and curved shapes in cardboard. They quickly made connections to engineering play, designing cardboard boats to test how to keep a pretend bear afloat. This hands-on project naturally encouraged problem-solving, fine motor development, and collaboration as students adjusted their designs and experimented with shape and balance.\r\n\r\nSince then, the Beaver Bot has become a favorite tool during STEM centers. Students are using it to create crowns, character cutouts, and storytelling props, building confidence as they plan, design, and independently operate the machine with care. It has opened up a new level of creativity and ownership in their projects, and even our most hesitant learners are excited to participate when the Beaver Bot is involved.\r\n\r\nNext, we plan to extend this learning by introducing simple building challenges using their cut cardboard pieces, encouraging students to think like young engineers—planning, testing, and improving their creations. Your donation has truly transformed our classroom, giving my students real-world tools to explore STEM thinking in meaningful, joyful ways. We've already begun a fun glow-light art project where the students have been using the paints to create glowing designs that shine beautifully under black lights.\r\n\r\nThe students are loving this new hands-on learning experience, and it's giving them a chance to explore color mixing and texture in a way they've never done before.
