We averaged reading 50-80 pages a week. Students came in ready to discuss opinions on the characters and plot to discussing predictions of what was coming next. \"The Count of Monte Cristo\" also led to great discussions on holding grudges, and in general, what it takes to be a \"good\" person..\r\n\r\nThe moment I have a student tell me that any book we read in class is one of their all time favorites, that lets me know that I did, in fact, make the right choice. This happened with \"The Count of Monte Cristo,\" and I am so excited!\r\n\r\nReading this book truly helped us have great discussions.
