My students are using the new bookcase, books, and scented bookmarks during independent reading, small-group instruction, and our daily reading time. The bookcase has given our books an organized home where students can easily see and select titles that interest them. One of my favorite moments was watching students recommend the new books to one another and proudly place their scented bookmarks inside the books they had chosen.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They immediately began exploring the books, reading the covers, and talking about which ones they wanted to read first. The scented bookmarks were an especially fun surprise and helped make reading feel like a special experience. These resources have encouraged even my more reluctant readers to pick up a book and spend more time reading.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building reading stamina, strengthening comprehension skills, and helping students discover authors, topics, and genres they enjoy. Students will use the new books to practice retelling, identifying the main idea, describing characters, and supporting their answers with evidence from the text. They will also share book recommendations with their classmates so that our classroom library continues to build excitement and a sense of community around reading.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided much more than classroom materials. You have helped my students feel valued, motivated, and excited about becoming stronger readers. Thank you for investing in my students and giving them resources that will benefit them throughout the school year.","fullyFundedDate":1787247349637,"projectUrl":"project/fresh-start/10411424/","projectTitle":"Fresh Start","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Day","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7390793_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1596735320640","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7390793"},{"teacherId":7390793,"projectId":9814595,"letterContent":"Thanks you so very much for your support for our third grade classroom.
