If you have not been in a self-contained room before, there is one thing you should know. We use laminating sheets and Velcro all day, every day. I mean a LOT of it. \r\n\r\nWe create task cards, file folders, communication boards, personal schedules, first-then boards, token boards, and reusable worksheets - the list never ends! \r\n\r\nSo, that being said, I am so thankful for the supplies in my classroom that came from such kind people! And I wanted you to know that they are being used! \r\n\r\nAlso, the timers have made a huge difference in managing behaviors in my classroom! We are able to remind a student visually how much time they have left for something. This comes in handy for doing school work, meal times, recess, and preferred activities.\r\n\r\nThe large crayons have been amazing for my students who are still working on their fine-motor skills, which is most of them. The items purchased helped classrooms create calm spaces with clear boundaries. The classrooms were able to use the puzzle mat pieces to create areas that the students can see as a safe and calm area.
