My students are always happy when they see the amount of snacks that they have access to during school.\r\n I use this pantry in many different ways. My school is in a poverty stricken area. Many of my students didnt have adequate food this year and many families have found themselves needing donations from food banks. I was able to make sure that when students came into my hall, they could come to me if they were hungry. Sometimes, after breakfast they are still hungry and I was able to feed them a little more. I was often able to give students a few items home with them. My school and neighboring churches also try to send food home. This pantry create a safe haven where children know they will recieve food. I also use it as a reward during and after our lesson.
