The front is dedicated to vocabulary, where they build definition boxes, sketches, and examples for each unit. The back is reserved for targeted notes that help them organize key concepts and review material. At the end of the year, they will complete a comprehensive timeline tying all historical eras together. When they first received the notebooks, students were excited to decorate the covers and immediately asked how they could earn stickers for strong scores on monitoring assessments. The incentive has already boosted motivation and pride in their work. Our next steps include adding new vocabulary and note pages for our upcoming unit while continuing to develop their timelines as we move through the curriculum.","fullyFundedDate":1733071114091,"projectUrl":"project/reviewing-for-success/8594594/","projectTitle":"Reviewing for Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Richmond","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6479731_orig.jpg?crop=810,810,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1565560572641","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msrichmondjax"},{"teacherId":6479731,"projectId":8626611,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contributions that helped provide snacks for my students during their EOC preparation. Your support ensured that every student had the nourishment they needed to stay focused, energized, and confident while tackling the rigor of their exams. It made a meaningful difference to know they could concentrate on learning without the distraction of hunger.\r\nBeyond test preparation, your kindness helped students throughout the school day. For many of them, having access to snacks created a sense of comfort, stability, and care—small things that truly matter in a school environment. Your generosity not only supported academic success but also reminded my students that their community believes in them.\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your thoughtfulness and support. The smiles on my student's faces were everything. I am so appreciative to my coworkers for introducing me to donors choose and more importantly to people like you.\r\n I use the printer daily. Students that are absent regularly usually don't do well with make-up work. I am only able to make the exact number of copies needed for each class on the school copier. When students lose them and need another copy, it becomes an issue. It has been awesome being able to make copies on the spot. Attendance is still an issue. It has not improved; however, I am working to meet my students where they are. \r\n I also wanted to share with you that the snacks were used for students that came to me privately in need of something to eat. Students that come to me hungry are able to get a snack to help them focus and finish the school day. Occasionally, I have used the snacks for games and competitions. Again, we could not do this without your support.","fullyFundedDate":1755521960361,"projectUrl":"project/life-after-high-school/9520706/","projectTitle":"Life after high school","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9366813_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753967581417","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9366813"},{"teacherId":7411571,"projectId":8978354,"letterContent":"When students received the pencils with the encouraging words, many asked if they could keep them.
