In addition, we can see how authors use adjectives and adverbs to make the writing descriptive and interesting. Having enjoyable literature keeps the students engaged and naturally encourages discussions about the text. I am able to see how the students' language skills are evolving over time and in a context that would mirror what is needed to be successful in a classroom. \r\n\r\nThe games serve as both reinforcement and engagement tools. They help maintain interest while one student is practicing a specific skill—like producing the /r/ sound or using slow speech strategies.
