Many of our 111 cadets balance rigorous academic schedules, drill practices, and community service commitments, often without steady access to fuel during long afternoons. My students are LOVING their new art supplies! We frequently create mini posters in class to help guide us through our chapters, review important concepts, and reinforce key topics from each unit. These projects give students a chance to show what they know in a creative and hands-on way rather than simply answering questions on a worksheet.\r\n\r\nWith these projects, students get to color, design, cut, and really make the posters their own. They have especially been obsessed with the acrylic paint markers! They are using them constantly and love how they allow them to add bold colors, details, and designs to their work. Having a variety of colored paper has also given students even more opportunities to be creative and personalize their projects.\r\n\r\nThe new scissors have been a huge hit as well! A few students have started cutting out extra shapes, designs, labels, and pictures to layer onto their posters, which has made their projects even more interactive and unique. It has been so fun watching students get excited about creating something that represents what they learned.\r\n\r\nThese supplies have made such a difference in our classroom. They are not only helping students review and retain important content, but they are also giving them an outlet to be creative, work with their classmates, and take pride in their work.
