They've helped us build strong healthy-habit practices—students now take responsibility for keeping our shared spaces clean, wiping down high-touch areas, and making sure supplies stay sanitized. It has been wonderful to watch them take ownership of both their environment and their learning.\r\n\r\nTheir reaction when the materials first arrived was unforgettable. We had been in a stretch where students were getting sick almost daily, and absences were piling up. When the new supplies came in, the whole room brightened. Several students commented that \"now we can finally stay healthy!\" And truly, within a week, the difference was noticeable. Sniffles and coughs decreased, absences dropped dramatically, and the classroom simply felt fresher, cleaner, and more comfortable.\r\n\r\nBecause students are healthier and present more consistently, our classroom projects have been able to move forward without constant disruption. We're now building momentum on collaborative reading and writing tasks, and having everyone engaged and in the room makes a tremendous impact. We're also continuing to assign student roles to maintain our healthy environment, reinforcing responsibility, teamwork, and pride in our shared space.\r\n\r\nThis project didn't just provide supplies—it transformed our day-to-day experience. My students and I are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1760114726980,"projectUrl":"project/healthy-habits-happy-classroom/9741466/","projectTitle":"Healthy Habits, Happy Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10034633_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756551139085","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10034633"},{"teacherId":6142049,"projectId":9382870,"letterContent":"There are no words to express how truly greatful we are for the donations to our classroom. It never ceases to amaze me how willing the community around us and the people who do not even know us are willing to give to supply items to children in the classroom. \r\nWe never realize the impact we create on someone with the gestures of kindness we give, It is very humbling to see the outreach and desire from the public to pour into our children's education by giving to buy the supplies needed for success. The little things we asked for like fidget toys, slime containers, and mini trick cars are such a huge motivation for the kids and their desire to excel. Being able to print work and activities in color makes such a simple impact, but the joy it brings to their faces is like no other. \r\nIn todays world things tend to be taken for grated and we assume that things should be given to us with no concept of gratitude. What I can promise is there to no lack of gratitude in this classroom and we could never truly express how grateful we are.","fullyFundedDate":1758822933949,"projectUrl":"project/4th-grade-rocks/9382870/","projectTitle":"4th Grade Rocks!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Eady","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6142049_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1550471046867","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/eadyssuperheros"},{"teacherId":10034633,"projectId":9505061,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my students now have the tools they need to bring their words to life in ways that were previously difficult or even impossible. The new ink and printing supplies have given them the ability to see their work polished and complete, which is especially powerful for learners who need the motivation of a finished product. For many of my students, printing materials is not just about having a hard copy—it's about accessibility. Students with accommodations now receive the printed resources they need right when they need them, without delays. This has helped us keep learning moving forward smoothly and allowed every student to engage more fully with their assignments.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is the sense of ownership they feel when they see their writing, projects, and creative work in print. They light up when they can hold their own words in their hands—it transforms writing from \"just another assignment\" into something meaningful and real. One student who has struggled with confidence in her writing now beams with pride when she receives her printed work, and it has motivated her to take more risks with her ideas. Others have embraced the printed resources for note-taking and organizing their thoughts, saying it makes their learning feel clearer and more manageable.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped create a classroom where ideas are not only expressed but also celebrated in tangible ways. Thank you for giving my students this opportunity to learn, grow, and take pride in their accomplishments.","fullyFundedDate":1756916247465,"projectUrl":"project/bring-our-words-to-lifeink-for-learning/9505061/","projectTitle":"Bring Our Words to Life—Ink for Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10034633_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756551139085","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10034633"},{"teacherId":10034633,"projectId":9352355,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my students now have the tools they need to create, listen, and learn in more meaningful ways. The headphones and dividers have transformed our classroom environment—students can focus on their individual tasks, whether they're recording a digital project, editing their work, or catching up on lessons they missed while absent. For students with accommodations, the ability to listen to content clearly has been especially impactful, allowing them to fully engage with the material and build confidence in their skills.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students has been working on digital products that showcase their voices and ideas. They love being able to record, listen, and edit their projects independently, which gives them both creative freedom and a sense of ownership over their learning. I've especially noticed some of my quieter students really warming to this new technology. Having the right tools allows them to participate in ways that feel comfortable, and I've seen their confidence grow with every project.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting my classroom. With access to materials like paints, markers, clay, and collage items, students were able to express themselves in unique and meaningful ways. This encouraged them to take risks, explore their imagination, and feel more invested in their work. Lessons became more dynamic as students used art to interpret literature, visualize math concepts, or represent historical events. The availability of diverse supplies allowed for differentiated instruction, meeting a wide range of learning styles and abilities.\r\n\r\nMoreover, having art supplies in the classroom improved classroom culture and collaboration. Students often worked together on group projects, learning to share materials, listen to each other's ideas, and contribute to a common goal. This not only strengthened their social skills but also built a sense of community and mutual respect. The classroom became a more joyful and inviting place where students felt safe to be themselves and proud of their creations. Overall, the presence of art supplies supported both academic growth and emotional development.","fullyFundedDate":1711550973089,"projectUrl":"project/art-supplies/8281638/","projectTitle":"Art Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Eady","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6142049_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1550471046867","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/eadyssuperheros"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_45446","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":654,"numTeachers":41,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":89,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":66.9,"schoolId":45446,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Altha Public School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Altha Public School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/calhoun-county-school-district/altha-public-school/45446"}
