As we've worked through our rebuilding season, students have been using the new books, games, and practice tools during after-school meetings to strengthen their skills in Congressional Debate, Public Forum, Lincoln-Douglas, Original Oratory, and Informative Speaking. One of my favorite moments was watching students actively use these resources to workshop their arguments and speeches together—giving feedback, refining ideas, and growing more confident with each practice. When they first saw the materials (and the snacks!), their excitement was immediate. They felt supported, valued, and motivated to give their very best.\r\n\r\nThe impact has been incredible. With consistent practice and the support of these resources, my students have steadily improved at each tournament. At our most recent competition, all seven students who competed placed in their events, with three students earning first place in at least one round. The snacks you provided helped sustain their energy during long practices, while the materials gave them the tools they needed to sharpen their thinking and delivery. This year was the first time since the 2023-2024 school year that students from this school placed at a tournament. This level of success would not have been possible without your support.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are continuing to build on this momentum. Students are already preparing new speeches, refining debate strategies, and setting higher goals for upcoming competitions. Your investment has not only strengthened their skills this season but has also helped lay the foundation for a thriving program in the years to come.
