The new expo markers, sprays, pencils, microfiber cloths, sanitizer, and Jolly Ranchers have become essential tools in our daily routines. During our \"Mystery Powder Investigation\"—a lab where students create hypotheses, test variables, and record data—every group used their whiteboards and fresh markers to outline their steps of the scientific method, share observations, and adjust predictions in real time. The microfiber cloths and cleaner let students reset their boards quickly between trials, keeping the activity moving and helping them stay focused on analyzing results instead of hunting down supplies.\r\n\r\nThe moment my students saw the new materials, their excitement was contagious. Many of them immediately began discussing which colors they wanted to use for data tables and how they could decorate their hypothesis boards. The Jolly Ranchers instantly became a fun motivational tool—students were eager to earn one by showing teamwork or explaining their reasoning clearly. Even the simple gift of new pencils made a huge impact; students who often worry about not having supplies felt confident and prepared for every part of the lab.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, we are able to continue building our skills in the scientific method as we move into our next set of hands-on labs, including studying mixtures and physical vs. chemical changes. These materials allow me to plan rigorous, interactive lessons without worrying about shortages, and they help students stay engaged, organized, and excited about learning science. Your generosity didn't just provide supplies—you provided opportunities for my students to think like real scientists.","fullyFundedDate":1762305168457,"projectUrl":"project/exploring-the-scientific-method-through/9843495/","projectTitle":"Exploring the Scientific Method Through Hands-On Discovery","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Knowles","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9845758_orig.jpg?crop=1947,1947,x0,y220&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764798210507","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9845758"},{"teacherId":9845758,"projectId":9506984,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my classroom has transformed into an energized, well-equipped learning environment where students can fully engage without barriers. The new dry-erase markers, sprays, and microfiber cloths have elevated the way we use our whiteboards and table-group boards for collaborative learning. One of my favorite moments so far was during a recent \"Race to Solve\" science review activity—students grabbed their new markers, wiped their boards clean with their own cloths, and excitedly worked in teams to solve density and mixtures problems. The tools you provided made it possible for every group to participate confidently and cleanly without waiting for shared materials.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the boxes of supplies, their excitement was instant—several even gasped when they discovered the brand-new expo markers in every color. The Jolly Ranchers became a fun and surprising incentive during our labs and AVID-style collaborative tasks. Even my quieter students lit up when they received fresh pencils and saw the stack of sanitizers that help keep our classroom safe. These may seem like simple items, but to my students they are symbols of being supported and cared for.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students can now focus on their learning instead of worrying about missing supplies. With our new materials, we are moving into more hands-on science investigations and collaborative AVID strategies that require frequent writing, note-taking, and shared whiteboard practice. These tools will carry us through upcoming units on properties of matter, physical and chemical changes, and our end-of-quarter review. Your donation didn't just stock our classroom—it empowered every student to participate fully with pride and enthusiasm.","fullyFundedDate":1760727978954,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-success-help-my-students-s/9506984/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Success: Help my Students Shine!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Knowles","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9845758_orig.jpg?crop=1947,1947,x0,y220&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764798210507","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9845758"},{"teacherId":9845758,"projectId":9080659,"letterContent":"I am thrilled to share how your generous contribution has made a significant impact on our girls' soccer team and their experience both on and off the field. What an impact! Your kindness and generosity has truly blessed the young people I get to work with on a daily basis. The majority of my students would never have the opportunity to experience using vinyl and a heat press, let alone use it to create their own masterpieces. \r\n\r\nThe students got the chance to collaborate to generate ideas of what they could create using heat transfer vinyl and a heat press. They researched their \"passions\" and created a variety of items that they were more than proud of. The items ranged from numbered sports pinnies (donated to a local soccer club for elementary and middle school students), to canvas totes they gifted their family members, to sublimated mouse pads and more. I saw more engagement in the activities than ever before when the students were given \"free creative reign\" for the output of their products. \r\n\r\nThe students who are hands-on learners and creative thinkers truly shined with this project. I even had a few talking about starting their own \"business\" to sell their artwork. \r\n\r\nYou may never know just how much you made a difference in the lives of these students.
