It is a place where students are\r\ninvited to think like engineers, work like a crew, and see themselves as explorers and problem-solvers.\r\nThe new resources have helped turn those ideas into hands-on experiences that students can see,\r\ntouch, build, test, and improve. Students have been designing planets, creating companies and mission\r\nidentities, building Eggstrauats, designing satellites and space probes, and working through engineering\r\nchallenges connected to our larger Bucca missions.\r\nOne of the most rewarding moments has been watching students realize that the spacecraft and\r\nmissions in our room are not just decorations. They belong to them. When students begin a build, they\r\nimmediately start making decisions: What is this part for? How will it work? What problem are we trying\r\nto solve? The excitement is especially noticeable when a student can point to something they designed\r\nand explain its purpose to a classmate. Those moments turn a simple classroom activity into authentic\r\nSTEM thinking, and they give students a reason to be curious and persistent.\r\nOur next steps are to keep expanding the Bucca mission program with new spacecraft builds, satellite\r\nand space-probe missions, Mars exploration challenges, and age-appropriate engineering projects for\r\nour younger crews. Students will continue designing, building, testing, and communicating their results\r\nas they move through the program. Your support has helped make Space Station Bucca a place where\r\nstudents do not simply learn about STEM careers and exploration. They get to practice the habits of\r\nengineers, scientists, and explorers themselves.
