Students earn rewards for demonstrating kindness, following directions, completing their work, and showing perseverance. One special moment happened when a student who had been working very hard on managing his transitions was able to choose a car from the treasure box. The pride on his face was incredible, and his classmates cheered him on. It was a powerful reminder of how meaningful positive reinforcement can be.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new cars and treasure box items, they were thrilled. Their excitement was immediate, it made my day. It created instant motivation and gave students something tangible to work toward. \r\n\r\nBecause of these resources, I've been able to strengthen our classroom management system and reinforce positive behaviors in a consistent, encouraging way. Students are more motivated to make good choices, stay on task, and support one another. The treasure box has helped create a positive classroom culture where effort and growth are celebrated.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include tying rewards more directly to specific classroom goals, such as improving transitions, increasing reading stamina, and demonstrating teamwork during group activities. We are also working on helping students set personal behavior or academic goals so they can take ownership of earning their rewards.\r\n\r\nThese materials have made a meaningful difference in building motivation, confidence, and a positive learning environment in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1766067141790,"projectUrl":"project/stem-learning-through-play/9839481/","projectTitle":"Stem Learning Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Roberts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10314593"},{"teacherId":10314593,"projectId":9835004,"letterContent":"We are using the new LEGO and marble run materials during our kindergarten free time. Students are working in small groups to design and build structures, ramps, and pathways. One special moment was watching a group of students redesign their marble run multiple times to make it more challenging!\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were beyond excited. There were cheers, lots of wide eyes and curious minds! They have never experienced these toys before. Their enthusiasm has carried throughout the entire last 6 weeks. They are still enjoying these activities.\r\n\r\nThese materials have become an important part of our classroom learning. Students are developing skills in teamwork, communication, persistence, and early engineering concepts.
