One way is that our literacy scores were among the highest in the 4th grade in the District of Columbia as referenced by the DC CAPE. Another way is evidenced by benchmark data. The 4th grade scholars earned 3 trophy's for each quarter in Reading. Their independent reading data shows that the books helped create proficient readers. The final impact on my scholars is that they learned a love of reading as referenced by letters left by former scholars to the new scholars welcoming them to 4th grade. \r\nYour generosity helped us reach our goals.","fullyFundedDate":1746698845479,"projectUrl":"project/love-of-literacy/9248656/","projectTitle":"Love of Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mitchell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9070551"},{"teacherId":8508360,"projectId":8183871,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your generous contribution of school supplies and math resources to our classroom. Your donation has had an incredible impact on my students, both in their everyday learning and in their excitement for new challenges. Since receiving the materials, we've been able to incorporate more hands-on, interactive math activities, and the students are thriving. For instance, one of the math projects involved using the new manipulatives to visualize complex geometric concepts. The students were so engaged, working together to build shapes and solve problems in ways that made abstract ideas come to life. It's been amazing to see their confidence grow as they grasp concepts they previously found challenging.\r\n\r\nThe moment my students first saw the new materials was truly unforgettable. Their faces lit up as they eagerly explored the new math tools and supplies. You could feel the sense of excitement in the room as they began imagining how they could use them in upcoming lessons. It was a tangible reminder of the power of having the right resources to fuel curiosity and learning. They've since been more involved in their lessons, asking insightful questions and taking ownership of their learning process.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are diving into a new unit that will make great use of the materials you've provided. As we continue to explore more advanced problem-solving strategies, the manipulatives and math games will allow students to further solidify their skills in a fun and engaging way. Thank you once again for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom. Your support is truly appreciated, and we're excited to continue our journey with these wonderful new resources!","fullyFundedDate":1715377302516,"projectUrl":"project/structured-learning/8183871/","projectTitle":"Structured Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Quarles","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8508360_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1673021853513","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8508360"},{"teacherId":3768648,"projectId":6996633,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my project!
