I teach in an urban family school, in the South Bronx, NY. The scholars that I teach and learn from everyday all have different needs and learning demands. My class is an ICT setting. Some of the challenges I face daily are engaging my students in material, and making sure they have the necessary tools to be successful and are now allowing outside problems to get in their way. Majority of them have difficulty with staying engaged and attentive; and many of the them just need an extra push to be their best selves. My students are young innovators and some have individualized learning plans/needs. Some of them are years behind in grade level work. All of my students respond to activities that are hands on and need extra care and attentiveness. Some need extra love and extra support.
