One of my students was so thrilled to play with the musical instruments that he even became emotional when we had to put them away for the next day!\r\n\r\nYour kindness helped make our classroom at Appletree Early Learning Public Charter School a place where children feel excited to come to school each day, valued for who they are, and inspired to discover new ideas. Because of you, my students now have access to tools that help them calm their bodies, regulate their emotions, and return to the classroom ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe Fire Tablets have become an especially valuable part of our daily support. In a school setting, the tablets are used intentionally to guide students through structured calming and learning activities. Students use them to follow deep breathing videos, mindfulness exercises, and short movement breaks that help reset their bodies and improve focus. They are also used with social-emotional learning apps that teach coping skills, emotional identification, and problem-solving in an interactive and engaging way.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is how the tablets make calming feel accessible and empowering. They enjoy choosing a breathing exercise, a short yoga or movement activity, or a calming visual when they feel overwhelmed. Instead of simply being told to calm down, they are learning concrete strategies they can use independently.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who struggle with anxiety, attention, and sensory needs have especially benefited. Some students who previously had difficulty sitting through a session are now able to engage for longer periods after a quick movement or mindfulness break. Others who experience big emotions are learning to independently request the tablet to help regulate before returning to class. Seeing students recognize their feelings and take ownership of calming their bodies has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, students are building lifelong self-regulation skills and gaining confidence in their ability to manage their emotions.
