Each day we gather for a morning meeting and a read aloud as a whole class. We do this on this rug! Everyone has a place to sit and the green and blue are so calming in our classroom. So many of our students have sensory issues and bright rugs can lead to an overstimulating environment.\r\n\r\nWe also find that we'll turn around when it's free choice time and everyone will be on the rug playing with various toys. Students that could not count, add, or subtract, are now able to move on into multiplication and division. The camera has made the students in learning differences between a phone camera versus a professional camera. For most of my students this is there first time holding a camera. There more students thinking the phone camera quality than the Canon Camera. We are planning to have school wide contest next week. The student cannot wait to see which pictures and videos win. \r\n\r\nMy shy students and Spanish speaking students have participated more in the activities. It has also provided a space for those students to open up creatively.
