Whether it's brainstorming ideas, working on group projects, or presenting to the class, these boards are becoming a central part of daily learning.\r\n\r\nThe students are already benefiting from the increased mobility and flexibility these boards provide. Dr. Adeoye shares that lessons are more dynamic, and students are excited to participate. It's heartwarming to see kids supporting each other as they work together on these boards. Your contribution is directly shaping how Dr. Adeoye teaches and how students learn, creating a more engaging and effective classroom experience.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in the power of education and supporting our school community. The arrival of these tap shoes has sparked a wave of excitement and focus that has truly transformed our school day.\r\n\r\nWe have officially formed a specialized Rhythm Club that provides a sanctuary for students who often feel like outsiders or are simply searching for a place where they belong. In this space, they've found a community. While tap dance is notoriously complex, these students are diving into the challenge, mastering basic steps and discovering a newfound sense of agency through movement.\r\n\r\nBecause of the high demand for the shoes you provided, we're using a rotation system so every interested student gets a turn to practice. It is inspiring to see them use rhythm as a tool for well-being during lunch and after-school hours, turning what could be stressful parts of the day into moments of creative calm.\r\n\r\nAll of this hard work is leading toward our school district's Performing Arts Festival on May 21st. The students are already gearing up for this performance, and seeing them practice in actual tap shoes instead of sneakers has boosted their confidence. Your belief in our vision has created a program that will benefit these dancers for years to come.\r\n\r\nPlease click the link below to see a short video:\r\nhttps://youtube.com/shorts/S6SkWW7JOtw\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students the tools to find their rhythm and their voice.","fullyFundedDate":1766690165111,"projectUrl":"project/tapping-into-creativity-and-calm/9886243/","projectTitle":"Tapping Into Creativity and Calm","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Conyers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10346967_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764194779305","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10346967"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_125751","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":369,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":92,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":25.0,"schoolId":125751,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bard High School Early College on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bard High School Early College","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/district-of-columbia/dc-public-schools/bard-high-school-early-college-dc/125751"}
