Your generosity has helped us build a classroom where books are accessible, literacy is celebrated, and students have opportunities to strengthen their reading skills through meaningful engagement with literature.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, reading can be challenging. Some struggle with comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, or maintaining focus while reading longer texts. However, I firmly believe that every student can grow as a reader when provided with appropriate resources, intentional instruction, and encouragement.\r\n\r\nThe classroom book sets provide opportunities to strengthen essential literacy skills, including identifying themes, analyzing characters, making inferences, understanding vocabulary in context, and supporting written responses with textual evidence. More importantly, these books allow students to explore meaningful topics, examine different perspectives, and connect literature to their own lives and experiences.\r\n\r\n**Reading in our classroom is an interactive experience.** We do more than simply read pages and answer questions. Students annotate texts, participate in structured discussions, work collaboratively in small groups, analyze important passages, and practice expressing their ideas through writing. We break challenging texts into manageable sections, use graphic organizers and sentence starters, and celebrate progress along the way.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding aspects of teaching literacy is witnessing students begin to recognize their own abilities. Whether a student makes a thoughtful connection to a character, identifies an important theme, or finds evidence to support an interpretation, each accomplishment represents meaningful growth.\r\n\r\nThese books are helping us create the conditions for those moments to happen more often. Students have opportunities to engage with literature without worrying about purchasing their own copies, and we can build consistent reading routines that support their individual learning needs.\r\n\r\nYour donation represents much more than classroom materials. However, it can be difficult for students to concentrate when they are hungry. Because of your kindness, I can offer students a snack when they need one, helping them feel more comfortable, supported, and ready to participate in classroom activities.\r\n\r\nWhat makes this project especially meaningful is that it goes beyond providing food. It sends a powerful message to my students: someone cares about their well-being and believes in their success. Having snacks readily available also allows students to meet a basic need without embarrassment or having to explain their circumstances.\r\n\r\nMy classroom is a place where we read, write, collaborate, think critically, and challenge ourselves academically.
