As a first-year teacher, your support has had a meaningful impact on my students. Now my students now have access to engaging, high-interest books that are helping them grow as readers.\r\n\r\nThese new texts have supported key reading skills such as making inferences, understanding characters, building vocabulary, and discussing themes. Reading in our classroom includes read-alouds, partner reading, small group discussions, and independent reading time. One of the biggest highlights has been how excited students were to continue reading the My Teacher Is an Alien series. Students constantly asked, \"Can we read another chapter?\" and were eager to talk about the story, predict what would happen next, and connect it to other books we've read.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping create such excitement around reading and for supporting my students in such a meaningful way. This device now serves as the Library Card Catalog, helping students quickly and confidently find books that match their reading levels and interests.\r\n\r\nStudents are able to independently search the catalog, explore genres, and discover new titles, which builds confidence and encourages responsibility in their learning. Instead of feeling overwhelmed or unsure of where to look, students can easily locate materials that are both engaging and appropriate for them. This has been especially helpful for students who are developing readers, as well as those who are eager to challenge themselves.\r\n\r\nThis single piece of technology has had a truly positive impact on our library and our students. It has improved access to books, supported academic growth, encouraged independence, and helped foster a stronger love for reading at JBM School.\r\n\r\nThank you for your support of tools that help our students succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1760828410456,"projectUrl":"project/ipad-library-catalog/9838511/","projectTitle":"iPad Library Catalog","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kinsey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10316040"},{"teacherId":10316098,"projectId":9838690,"letterContent":"Thanks to the generosity of our donors, my students now have access to multi-robot Edison charging stations, headphones, and LEGO blocks that have made a real impact in our classroom. While we already had Edison robots, the new chargers allow multiple robots to be powered at the same time, which has dramatically improved how smoothly lessons run. Instead of losing instructional time waiting for robots to charge, students can jump right into coding, testing, and problem-solving. The headphones also support focused learning by allowing students to follow directions, tutorials, and coding challenges at their own pace without distractions.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students the most is being able to build and experiment using the LEGO blocks with the Edison robots they already love. Adding physical designs to their coding challenges makes learning feel more like exploration than an assignment. Students are eager to design attachments, create obstacle courses, and test how changes in their code affect the robot's movement. The ability to quickly recharge multiple robots means students can iterate, fail, adjust, and try again, which keeps motivation high and encourages perseverance.\r\n\r\nThis technology has been especially powerful for hands-on learners and students who don't always thrive in traditional classroom settings. Some of my quieter students have become more confident, stepping up to help peers troubleshoot code or redesign LEGO builds. I've also seen increased collaboration and engagement from students who benefit from movement and creativity. Overall, these materials have helped create a more inclusive, engaging learning environment where students feel capable, excited, and proud of their progress.","fullyFundedDate":1760828255061,"projectUrl":"project/help-supply-technology-education-project/9838690/","projectTitle":"Help Supply Technology Education Projects","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ridenour","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10316098_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760644909868","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10316098"},{"teacherId":10318953,"projectId":9843037,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the generous donations to my school counseling program! Our students have been greatly impacted by your donations and are able to engage more actively in their learning.\r\n Our iPad has been put to use in a variety of ways. Students have been able to record presentations for science; use apps that have increased their learning; and incorporated technology into math lessons to make them more engaging. Our students are eager to use our Ipad and also provide input on additional ways to incorporate its use into our classroom. \r\n The seat cushions have provided students with additional opportunities to move when a break for movement may not be available. Some of our students struggle to remain seated for a designated amount of time, and by using the seat cushion, they are able to get some of their energy out without disrupting the learning of others.\r\n We have used our books, markers, and glue sticks recently in a science project where we have been learning about ecosystems. This topic has been shared across both ELA and Math content areas. Our students completed research and are working on making posters representing their ecosystem using the materials from your generous donations. \r\n Finally, our magnetic pieces have been an exciting addition to our classroom. Students have enjoyed putting their geometry knowledge and creativity to use when discovering types of buildings and uses for the magnets. \r\n We are looking forward to discovering many more ways to use our new resources to continue improving our learning community and increasing literacy in our math and science classroom..
