Additionally, higher level readers appreciated the increased challenge and opportunities for discussion, while students with emerging skills responded positively to the predictable structure and scaffolding provided throughout the texts. The new books have given my students a chance to explore stories that match their interests and reading levels, which has truly sparked their excitement for learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, the excitement the students had was awesome! My students' eyes lit up as they saw the large boxes and watched as each seat was taken out and excitedly flipped through the bright new books. Many students, who often find it hard to sit still, choose the flexible seating and are able to better focus on our reading lessons. Another student who used to shy away from reading now likes to sit in the bean bag during free time and read the new books.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on our phonics skills to help us be more fluent readers.
