The writing lap desks have allowed students to write and read comfortably when working in small groups at the carpet. Each day they meet for small groups and are able to get a lap desk to place all their belongings and not have to sit in awkward positions while learning. The \"try it\" notebooks have been a hit in the classroom! Fostering a level of confidence and independence with their spelling. Students have been encouraged to try to spell a word before asking for an adult to spell it for them. They love when they get it right the first try, but have loved being able to go back into their book to get the words they need quickly in future writing. \r\n When they saw the lap desks they ALL wanted to run and be in a small writing or reading group so that they can use them right away. They love the comfort and convenience of having the desks to keep their books and materials easily accessible. They were obsessed with the try it notebooks because they were so \"tiny\" and were excited to start filling pages up. I feel so happy to see students say \"OH! that word is in my try it book!\" and see them run to get it to help them with their spelling while writing. They have even found ways to use it across all subjects that require writing!","fullyFundedDate":1758244871905,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-learning-on-the-go/9671516/","projectTitle":"Tools for Learning On the GO!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ramos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4655326_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1506870554131","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msramos125"},{"teacherId":3082597,"projectId":9828291,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. We use them daily during independent reading, small group work, and writing time. One of my favorite moments was during our literacy centers — students choose the spot that helped them focus best and got comfy on the cushions. I have found a few students benefiting greatly from wobble stools during small group and independent work. The room feels calm, productive, and full of choice — exactly what I hoped for when creating this project.\r\n\r\nThe students excitement was priceless! As soon as they walked in and saw the new seating, their faces lit up. Many of them immediately started trying out different options and saying things like, \"This is so comfy!\" or \"Can we use these every day?\" It was clear that they felt valued and excited to learn in a space designed for them.\r\n\r\nMy next steps are working on improving students reading fluency and writing stamina. The flexible seating allows them to take ownership of their learning by choosing where they can do their best work. Our next step is to continue fostering independence and focus during literacy time — and these new seating options make that possible every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1754877670296,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-every-type-of-learn/9564097/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Every Type of Learner!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9310248_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754865682970","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-b-hernandez"},{"teacherId":4655326,"projectId":9421865,"letterContent":"I could not begin to share how thankful we are for this wonderful donation to our classroom. It is where we begin and end our day and where the students come to learn, laugh, and play. We have drawn our predictions for calendar, visualized, brainstormed, read stories, solved math equations, endless activities each day. \r\n When they saw our rug they were in complete shock!
