With concert preparations, the holidays being here, and a couple days off on the school calendar, it's been very busy over these last few weeks.\r\n\r\nAs busy as it's been, it's also been very productive. We are a couple weeks away from out Winter Concert here at Hopeville Elementary, and all of the students involved are getting excited (and nervous at the same time - lol). We've all been working very hard to put together another great show for the parents and staff. What's great about this year is this will be the first concert for most of the students involved. So like I said, excitement and nerves at the same time, but I have complete confidence in them that they will knock it out of the park when we perform our show.\r\n\r\nWhen the students saw the all the drum buckets and equipment, they were so happy and are looking forward to putting on a concert with them. I added a couple of pictures of our drum bucket rehearsal to show you what we've been doing.\r\n\r\nI can't thank you all enough for making this project come true for me and my students! When I opened the boxes, students were clapping as I unloaded the awesome new supplies. \r\nThe use of each STEM material was eagerly anticipated. Students were so happy to have Lego building boards to create their own masterpiece and share with the class. The magnetic tiles and disc building were also big hits! It was great to receive storage containers so that supplies could be organized and stacked for easy accessibility. \r\nEach material has sparked curiosity and allowed students to use their imaginations and creativity in new ways. Even the practical items, like packing tape and paper towels, have made a huge difference in keeping our classroom prepared, clean, and ready for learning each day. \r\n\r\nYour donation has provided not only materials but also a sense of care and encouragement that my students can feel. The students were so excited to get their new folders, pencils, crayons and headphones!! The first day they repeatedly asked me when they were going to use their crayons. It was so nice not to have to share a crayon with a neighbor or find a broken one in the crayon box. You would not believe what a difference this makes in my daily teaching. \r\n\r\nWhen it came time to use our computers for small group math, you should have seen their smiles putting on their new headphones that all worked properly and were comfortable. The children repeatedly told me that it was so nice of somebody to buy these things for them. \r\n\r\nI wish you could have seen their smiles when I added the new prizes to our prize box! They were on their best behavior trying to earn points so they could pick from the prize box that day! Once again, thank you for making a such a difference in my classroom.
