Because of your kindness, my high school MLLs (Multilingual Learners) now have a class set of Seedfolks, as well as a new table and bookshelf to help organize and enjoy our learning space.\r\n\r\nThese resources are already making a meaningful difference. Having their own books allows students to read more closely and confidently, which is helping them improve their vocabulary and reading comprehension skills every day. They are learning new words in context, discussing ideas with classmates, and building a deeper understanding of the text.\r\n\r\nIn addition, students will be working on a research project connected to the novella. They will explore the countries of origin of the immigrant characters in Seedfolks, learning about different cultures, histories, and perspectives. This project not only strengthens their reading and research skills, but also helps them make personal connections to the stories we read in class.\r\n\r\nThe new table and bookshelf have also helped create a more comfortable and organized learning environment where students can collaborate, read, and take pride in their classroom.\r\n\r\nYour support is truly appreciated, and it is helping our students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers.
