The new resources allowed me to update our Breakfast Crew binder, create student tags, use timers, and establish clear and consistent morning routines.\r\n\r\nThe impact is already being felt by our students. During our student climate discussion today, students shared that breakfast has gotten so much better and that they enjoy starting their day there. Hearing this feedback was especially meaningful because one of our goals was to make breakfast more than just a place to eat. We wanted it to be a positive and welcoming way for students to begin their school day.\r\n\r\nThe materials have helped us create more structure and predictability. Student tags and our organized binder help us keep track of responsibilities and participation, while timers support transitions and help students know what to expect. Our Breakfast Crew has also given students opportunities to take ownership and be part of creating a positive morning environment for their peers. Combined with other materials, I created an entire corner of my classroom where students can go and sit quietly to read a book. It has also become a calming space for students to go when they are feeling overwhelmed. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first walked into the room and saw the space, they immediately went and sat down to start reading. Even students from previous years have started coming by in the morning to sit and read a book before the bell rings. Students are learning how to sort laundry by color, measure detergent, load and unload the machines, choose appropriate settings, and fold and store clean clothes. These skills promote independence, responsibility, and real-world readiness. The appliances also help students understand routines, hygiene, and self-care, which are essential for daily living and future success.\r\n\r\nYour kindness and support mean more than words can express.
