Thanks to your support, our students didn't just receive garden beds and planters—they got to build them!\r\n\r\nThe day the materials arrived, the atmosphere in our hallway was electric. Watching the students work together to assemble the two raised garden beds and prepare the hanging planters was a teacher's dream. This hands-on experience has fostered a powerful sense of community and teamwork across our entire D Pod. Students who often struggle to stay engaged in traditional lessons were leading the way.\r\n\r\nThis project could not have come at a better time. We are about to begin our Plant and Animal Structures science unit, and because of you, our students have a living, breathing laboratory right at their fingertips. Instead of just looking at diagrams in a textbook, they will observe internal and external structures in real-time.\r\n\r\nYour gift is also making science and math come alive! We are using our garden to practice:\r\n\r\nMeasurement: Tracking plant growth in centimeters and inches.\r\n\r\nVolume and Area: Calculating how much soil was needed to fill our specific bed dimensions.\r\n\r\nData Collection: Graphing the frequency of watering and sunlight exposure.\r\n\r\nThank you for providing the tools that have sparked this new level of motivation and engagement.
