When my students first saw the seating options at the start of the year, their excitement was contagious—many shared that it was one of the things they were most looking forward to each day. We've created a classroom system where each flexible seat and all student book bins have a designated home, giving students independence as they easily manage their own materials and keep our space clean and organized. Every Friday during our class meeting, students select their seating choice for the upcoming week, with the \"Mathlete of the Week\" earning the prized orange bouncy ball. This system has not only brought joy and engagement but has also improved students' stamina, focus, and collaboration during lessons. As we move forward, students will continue using these options to support their learning, helping them take ownership of both their work and their environment. The view finder was so fun to use and learn about the different kinds of birds. My next steps for my students reading corner is to create a similar corner on the other side of my classroom. This will allow more students to enjoy the comfort and coziness reading has to offer.
