Students listen to phonics lessons, practice reading skills, and engage in interactive math activities through educational programs. Headphones are essential because they allow students to focus on their own learning without distractions and to work at their own pace. Before this project, broken or missing headphones often interrupted learning time. Now, students can seamlessly participate in technology-based lessons without worry, which has helped improve focus and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe new headphones have been especially exciting for students because they feel special having equipment that works well and is just for them. Several students who are easily distracted or benefit from auditory support have already shown improved engagement. They are more willing to participate independently and stay on task during learning stations.\r\n\r\nThe rainbow cart organizer has also had a big impact. First graders thrive in organized, visually appealing spaces. The bright, color-coded drawers make it easier for students to locate and return supplies independently. This has encouraged responsibility, reduced transition time, and created a calmer classroom environment where students can focus more on learning.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students feel prepared, confident, and excited to learn each day. These tools may seem simple, but they have helped create a more organized, focused, and inclusive learning environment for every child in my classroom. Thank you for investing in my students and helping them thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1764687868863,"projectUrl":"project/technology-to-support-firsties/9918467/","projectTitle":"Technology to Support Firsties","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Russell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1456621_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1448330916158","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1456621"},{"teacherId":9454379,"projectId":9255908,"letterContent":"The decodable books are now available for any teacher to use with their students. Before, managing our classroom technology felt chaotic, but now, our Chromebooks are stored safely and neatly, making it easy for students to quickly grab their device and put it back. This organization has saved us valuable learning time and created a cleaner, more structured space for our 22 students.\r\n\r\nTechnology plays a crucial role in our classroom, helping students engage with interactive lessons, practice literacy and math skills, and explore creative projects. With the Chromebooks easily accessible, students can jump right into learning without delays. Programs like adaptive reading and math tools allow them to learn at their own pace, getting support where they need it and challenges when they're ready.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is the independence they now have. They love being able to access their Chromebooks quickly and start on their tasks without waiting for help. The cart has also reinforced responsibility, as students take ownership of properly returning and plugging in their devices at the end of the day.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for this upgrade in our classroom—it has truly streamlined our learning process and made technology a more effective tool for our students.
