The students got so excited when they saw all of the creative materials they would be able to get their hands on. They were most excited to use the playground balls and the brain flakes. \r\n\r\nThe playground balls came in very handy this year as our playground was in disrepair. I was able to take the students to one of the fields on our school campus and have them play with the balls as an alternative to going on our playground. The students enjoyed kicking and throwing the balls to each other. They developed communication and problem-solving skills as they played together. \r\n\r\nThe students enjoyed using the brain flakes during our center time. These little wheels kept the students' creative brains engaged for such a long time and helped them to strengthen their fine motor skills. \r\n\r\nThe glue sticks were used during our daily art center in which students could build anything they wanted with the provided materials. For starters, the desks are now completely silent. Secondly, the overhead lights create a great ambience and ambient lighting for these gloomy winter months ahead. Students took notice immediately and definitely remind me to turn them on. Finally, our two new drop seatings on the rug have alleviated the constant \" I was sitting there first\" arguments about our current flexible seating corner.
