I'll never forget the kids' faces when they walked in and saw it, and they take such pride in remembering to keep it clean, reminding each other not to bring food onto it and picking up any stray debris. We use this rug all day every day, from the moment the students arrive until the moment they leave. In addition to morning meeting - which is now a more pleasant experience for everyone as this rug is bigger than our old one AND has defined spots for kids to sit at - we use the rug for: puppet shows, book time, nap time, special gatherings, our music and dance classes, and free play of all kinds, especially MagnaTiles, LEGO, and cars. We all adore this rug and I can't thank you enough for helping us to make our classroom a better and brighter space.","fullyFundedDate":1728098006488,"projectUrl":"project/new-classroom-rug-for-prek-118/8851996/","projectTitle":"New Classroom Rug for PreK 118","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Amanda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9788702_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727884969777","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9788702"},{"teacherId":9784005,"projectId":8840062,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your help in purchasing the equipment. The students got SO excited when the music started coming out of the speaker. Jump ropers started jump more and hula hoopers enjoyed moving their bodies to the sound of the beat. Another \"It makes doing the not so fun stuff (like running) easier.\"\r\n\r\nThe music is also a good way to get the attention when the music stop kids know it's time for instruction as opposed to using a whistle (which some say is the start of a pipe line to prison sound). The yarn balls are being used with the all but especially the younger students, who can attempt to catch the ball without fear of getting hurt. \r\n\r\nOverall there has been a vast improvement in student learning that can directly be correlated to the equipments arrival.
