Otherwise, papers would be everywhere and in lockers, backpacks, the floor....\r\n\r\nRight now, we are focusing on finishing the year strong with reading Caesar in Latin IV and learning the subjunctive in Latin II. The middle school students are very excited to have a wide variety of prizes to work for in our classroom store. When the new boxes came in, everyone wanted to know what was in them, and they eagerly looked for their favorites once the new items were put into place. \r\n\r\nThanks to your donations, one of the new features that I was able to put into place is a sticker chart on the wall. When students complete an assignment, they get a sticker on the chart. Then every time they get 5 stickers on the chart, they can choose a bonus item from the store. My students have been excited to earn their classroom points and use them to \"buy\" the fun items of their choice each week. Some of the positive behaviors that can earn them points are: being prepared and on time for class, participating positively in a group, and being on task. The students often ask me how many points they have or ask me if they can log into Class Dojo to check their points. They do this because they are saving up for certain items and these rewards are very motivating to them.
