When the boxes first arrived and we unrolled the bright, clean rug, my Pre-K 3 and 4 students' faces completely lit up. There was immediate rush to sit down and touch the soft texture. For our littlest learners, having a comfortable, defined, and inviting space to sit together has completely transformed the energy in our room.\r\n\r\nWe are already using these wonderful resources daily to build crucial developmental skills. The rug has become the official heart of our classroom, serving as our safe gathering space for morning circle time and stories. During a recent center rotation, a beautiful moment unfolded on the new rug: a few of my four-year-olds naturally stepped in to help the three-year-olds sort the wooden rocks by size, while another group celebrated together after finally snapping the last piece of a tricky puzzle into place. They also absolutely love the carpet sweeper, eagerly taking turns to clean \"their\" rug at the end of the day, which is teaching them wonderful lessons about responsibility and taking pride in our community.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps are to use these materials to dive deeper into our math and spatial awareness units. We will be using the magnetic toys and stacking rocks to explore geometric shapes, balance, and weight.
