While many people are familiar with technology like tablets or computers at home, this type of classroom technology plays a unique and powerful role in how young students learn at school.\r\n\r\nThe laminator allows me to create hands-on learning materials that students can use again and again. I am able to laminate letter cards, math games, visual schedules, and center activities that students can manipulate, write on, and explore independently. This supports learning by making lessons more interactive, durable, and accessible—especially for students who learn best by touching, moving, and practicing skills repeatedly.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is that these materials feel special and \"official.\" They love using dry-erase markers on laminated pages, playing learning games that don't tear or wrinkle, and taking responsibility for classroom materials. The laminated resources make learning feel like play, which is incredibly motivating for young children.\r\n\r\nYour generous donation has helped create a more engaging, supportive, and student-friendly learning environment. The laminator is already being used daily and will continue to benefit many groups of kindergarten students in the years to come. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1760811139892,"projectUrl":"project/wit-and-wisdom/9774709/","projectTitle":"Wit and Wisdom","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Sullivan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10294004"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43893","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":511,"numTeachers":43,"percentFrplEligible":19,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"11.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.9,"schoolId":43893,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Memorial School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Memorial School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/connecticut/east-hampton-public-schools/memorial-school/43893"}
