Your support has made a tremendous difference in our Title 1 school, and I'm thrilled to share the incredible impact your kindness has created.\r\nThanks to your contribution, our students received all the art supplies they needed to transform our cafeteria into a vibrant, welcoming space. The office windows that line one wall of our lunchroom are now bursting with color and creativity, featuring beautiful seasonal designs entirely created by our talented students. This prouect allowed our Junior advanced art student to over see a large project and problem solve in a real world experience.\r\nThe Student Experience\r\nThe joy and pride on our students' faces as they worked on this project was truly heartwarming. Students who don't always get opportunities to express themselves artistically were able to shine. They collaborated, shared ideas, and took genuine ownership of beautifying their school environment. The art classes have started a list of who can do the next piece of artwork.\r\nWhile the visual transformation of our cafeteria is stunning, the real magic happened in the process. Students developed:\r\nConfidence - Seeing their work displayed prominently boosted self-esteem\r\nCollaboration skills - Working together on shared designs built teamwork\r\nCreative thinking - Planning seasonal themes encouraged innovation\r\nSchool pride - Students now feel more connected to and proud of their school\r\nA sense of belonging - Contributing to their environment gave them ownership\r\nYour generosity has created something that extends far beyond this one project. You've shown our students that people care about them and believe in their potential. You've demonstrated that their creativity has value and that art can make a real difference in their everyday lives. These are lessons they will carry with them long after they leave our school.\r\nThe cafeteria is no longer just a place to eat lunch—it's a gallery of student achievement, a testament to community support, and a daily reminder that beautiful things happen when people invest in children.\r\nWe plan to rotate seasonal designs throughout the year, ensuring the space stays fresh and giving more students opportunities to participate. Every time they create new artwork, they'll remember that caring donors like you made it all possible.\r\nFrom the Heart\r\nThank you for choosing to support our project. Thank you for believing in our students. Thank you for understanding that even small acts of generosity can have profound impacts on young lives. You have truly made our school a brighter, more beautiful place to learn and grow.\r\nWith deepest appreciation and gratitude,","fullyFundedDate":1769192732390,"projectUrl":"project/student-art-project-brightening-our-sch/9913352/","projectTitle":"Student Art Project: Brightening Our School Cafeteria","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. George","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7611747"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_44127","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":749,"numTeachers":74,"percentFrplEligible":45,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":33,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":44,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.6,"schoolId":44127,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Platt Technical High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Platt Technical High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/connecticut/connecticut-department-of-education/platt-regional-vocational-tech-school/44127"}
