After compiling the list, I loaded up my wagon and grab bags and visited students at their schools, so that they could select an item of their choosing. This was actually a great way for me, as the McKinney-Vento Liaison, to put faces to the names of the children I have been working to support this school year. It was a delight to interact with the students in such a positive manner. \r\n\r\nWhen the students were called down to the office, they seemed relieved that it was for doing something good. There is something special about seeing real joy and surprise on children's faces. There were lots of smiles and thank-yous.
