The equipment and supplies ordered will be used by my students to compete in First Robotics, an international program founded by Dean Kamen, creator of the Segway. They will use the laptops to teach themselves the JavaScript programming. Although our school has laptops, they are of a type that does not accommodate JavaScript and we have relied on mentors for our programming until now. The laptops are brought to competitions (hence the need for cases) and we need two for backup. The tools and safety goggles will replace the limited collection of donated items currently in use, while the poster boards will hold the displays about our robotics team are created for each competition.
