A number of newcomers to the country have joined my class this year. Being able to communicate with them both verbally and have directions translated have helped all of us. \r\nBesides the verbal communication, the students have been able to continue to learn both math and social studies with the help of the text translation. They take pictures of the text and the device translates it for them. This enables the students to be more independent and not solely dependant on other students to translate for them. \r\nI have also seen great growth in these students because they are making the connections between their native Spanish to the English. In just a few months these students are demonstrating their understanding of the concepts of 5th grade math and social studies, while at the same time learning the English language. The language barrier is not holding them back and I get the joy and pleasure of learning who they are and watch them bloom.","fullyFundedDate":1768426662541,"projectUrl":"project/inclusive-classroom-with-pockettalk/9984444/","projectTitle":"Inclusive Classroom with PocketTalk","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Blanchard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10216935"},{"teacherId":9629793,"projectId":9327140,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our 5th grade classroom!
