I used the calming tools for my \r\ntake a break station in my room. It is a peaceful area that students learned to use one of the calm down toys to help regulate their emotions! One example of how the space was used was when students would come in from recess. There were always big emotions from some students after recess. Especially the very competitive students. I loved how they would go straight to the calming area to self-regulate. It was empowering to watch at the kindergarten level. Student just need guidance and support to help with those big emotions! Your support made that possible!
